Approach

01

Anthurium is reimagining concierge healthcare service. In a medical world filled with uncertainties and unknowns, we trust the patient is often the most reliable source of information to chart the way forward.

We show up for patients in ways traditional healthcare can’t.

02

We will listen to your
story.

The traditional patient-doctor relationship has deteriorated. Rushed appointments and ‘yes or no’ questions simply won’t help complex illnesses go away. We take the time to truly listen to patients because we believe it’s the details that can unlock the underlying causes and lead to diagnosis.

03

We trust
your symptoms.

Patients know themselves better than anybody. That’s why the patient-doctor relationship is vitally, and mutually, important. We rely on you to give us the full picture; you rely on us to guide the next step. It’s a relationship based on trust, and focused on hope—and we do it together.

04

We stay curious
throughout your journey.

The road to recovery is usually not linear. We relentlessly investigate your case to connect the dots and find patterns. We look through different lenses to consider all angles. We pivot when we hit roadblocks. And we never give up.

PROCESS
investigate
diagnose
treat

Our process may sound simple—investigate, diagnose, treat. How we go about it, is not. It all starts with actively listening to our patients. Their unique story ultimately determines where we go next.

investigate

We identify objective data first.

Using evidence-based research, we’re able to pinpoint the logical and potentially highest yield first steps. This can include prescribing initial medications for textbook symptoms, which allows us to start excluding certain diagnoses, and offer potential relief of suffering in the interim.

diagnose

We map out the patient’s story and chart the way forward.

Following the patient’s initial progress, we’ll cross disciplines and consult experts as needed. Through many years of conducting labs, didactic training, clinical and residency experiences, and deep, rewarding work with chronic and complex illness, we’ve cultivated a sixth sense that helps us detect nuances behind a wide range of symptoms to determine where to go next.

treat

We create personalized treatment and management options.

We formalize the treatment plan that truly reflects your story. This can include anything from medications to red light and shock wave therapies, manual modalities to surgical interventions, and environmental adaptations to lifestyle modifications. We layer in new, repurposed, or repackaged medications when needed, as well as treatment, to truly customize the plan to you and your ongoing progress.

As a referring provider or interested patient, what is the process for establishing care?

Close
Open

We are a concierge practice, with limited availability. Demand for similar services is very high, and we regret that our space is limited and there aren't more options for patients.

We ask that you first complete our Referral and Interested Patient Intake form, so that we may track community interest and have record of when it was received so that we may follow-up in a timely and fair manner. We cannot guarantee our services, but when availability opens up, will reach our to patients who have shown interest.

What can patients expect at their initial appointment?

Close
Open

We ask a lot of questions to cover your full medical history during the initial intake session. In-person consultations include a full neurological examination. We then develop a care plan utilizing further diagnostic workup and treatment recommendations based on your symptoms, history, and exam findings.

What should patients bring to their initial appointment?

Close
Open

A written timeline of symptoms and a list of questions you want answered make for the most effective initial appointment.

What types of patients do you serve?

Close
Open

We serve all patients who have not had satisfactory answers or results for their symptoms and/or disease, and patients who want to know more, understand more, and do more for their health.

What are the core values of your practice?

Close
Open

We listen, believe, and care because you know your body better than we do. We stay curious every step of the process. We think of the patient as one of our partners.

Are your services covered by health insurance?

Close
Open

No. We are unable to do what we do within the confines of the insurance model. Concierge membership ensures that patients receive the ongoing care they need in a highly specialized care environment with high community demand.

How long do you typically work with patients?

Close
Open

We will do as little or as much as you want as patient autonomy is the most important factor. We will guide, recommend, support, and advise for as long as you need us.

Is it possible to get an online consultation?

Close
Open

Yes. We do recommend planning an in-person visit as examination and other testing greatly complement the therapeutic nature of what we do.
